My Journey into Kids' YouTube Channel Creation
Learn about how I turned the fun moments I share with my 4-year-old into an exciting YouTube project, all while handling a full-time job, managing my Etsy shop and print-on-demand business, being a parent, and taking care of household chores.
Besides running my Etsy shop and starting my print-on-demand business, I've been pretty occupied with a YouTube channel for kids that I recently launched. My husband had been urging us to build a brand through YouTube channels, and I agreed. This shift required me to refocus my energy and adjust my priorities.
I spend a lot of time playing with my 4-year-old daughter. Sometimes, I worry that I'm not providing enough educational activities for her, especially now that she's in kindergarten. I hope her school covers that aspect since I'm busy building my online business. However, you know how determined a 4-year-old can be. The time I initially set aside for creating content and digital assets often turns into playtime at the park. I figured, why not make the most of it? Playing with a child can be a lot of fun when you fully immerse yourself in their world. So, I asked my daughter if it would be okay for us to create videos for YouTube, just like the ones she enjoys watching. She loved the idea, and we decided to start a YouTube channel called 'Tenny&Me.' It's all about Ryleigh and her beloved teddy bunny comforter, Tenny.
Starting something new can be incredibly rewarding. It pushes you in the right direction and helps you gain the knowledge and experience you need to grow. Through creating more content, I've improved my editing skills and learned how to manage my time efficiently from editing to posting a video. I've also become more creative, utilizing various software and social media features to create and share content wherever I am. It's made me appreciate the software I invested in for digital creation.
However, let's be honest, it can still be time-consuming. The process of refining the assets I have and turning them into works of art can be quite tedious. This is where I've started considering the potential of AI. I used to think AI software was expensive, but I'm eager to explore if it lives up to the hype.
I've come across many tools designed for content creators that I want to try out. Right now, what I need most is effective time management and planning tools to help me juggle all the tasks required to stay on top of this business. So, I plan to test a few products and services and share my experiences in my upcoming blogs. Stay tuned for more updates!
